Murad’s Acne and Wrinkle Reducer Review

Murad's Acne and Wrinkle ReducerMany women suffer from acne even after they leave their teens. It can be even more embarrassing to be a professional with acne or a mother with acne than it can to be a teen with acne. It’s pretty common during the teen years but not nearly as common after that.

And on top of these concerns, you have wrinkles to fight. That is what is so great about Murad’s Acne and Wrinkle Reducer. It solves two problems at once that plague more mature women.

And it does make sense that younger and healthier skin is more likely to bounce back after something happens to it so maybe combining an acne treatment and a wrinkle reducer is the key to perfect skin.

Can Murad’s Acne and Wrinkle Reducer Do Everything It Claims?

It’s pretty hard to find a product that can live up to all it’s claims.  Unfortunately, there are people out there who want to take advantage of people who are suffering from skin problems because they are more willing to try new products.  So we set out to determine if the Acne and Wrinkle Reducer is all they say it is.

The main wrinkle fighting ingredient is their Kombucha Collagen Defense.  It is supposed to stimulate collagen production and prevent it from breaking down.  Collagen is one of the key aspects of fighting wrinkles because it can keep skin youthful and tight.  Murad’s Acne and Wrinkle Reducer also has kelp and seaweeds designed to further tighten and firm the skin.

Salicylic acid is the main acne fighting ingredient.  It has definitely been shown to be effective at fighting acne so you could see some improvement in your acne after using this product but it is hard to say exactly how much improvement you would see with only .5% strength salicylic acid.

Clinical Evidence

Murad claims that their Acne and Wrinkle Reducer was created based on clinical research and trials.  We would really like to see those trials because, as of right now, the only way to evaluate the product is based on the ingredient list.

It’s pretty hard to believe that there were actually clinical trials performed on Murad’s Acne and Wrinkle Reducer because if there had been trials (especially if they were successful) Murad would certainly want to publish those findings.

About Murad’s Acne and Wrinkle Reducer

Murad’s Acne and Wrinkle Reducer is fairly expensive.  It is nearly $60 for a 2 ounce bottle that will last about a month.  You are supposed to put in on after cleaning your skin and before applying moisturizers and makeup.  This way the salicylic acid can be absorbed and acne can be fought.

It probably has more merit as an acne reducer than a wrinkle reducer.  Because we can’t see the results of clinical trials it’s really hard to say how effective the formula is.  It is certainly not a unique formula but sometimes the simplest products work the best.

Conclusion

That’s why we can say that it can be effective as an acne product because salicylic acid has been proven in clinical trials. You could definitely try it but you may want to put your money on an already proven product.
